[NIFTI] Veeco BioScope II added to NIFTI Facility
NIFTI is installing a Veeco BioScope™ II atomic force microscope (AFM) in March 2008. The BioScope enables AFM imaging under a broad range of dynamic and biologically relevant conditions, is easy to use with inverted optical microscopes, including confocal and TIRF systems, integrates with optical techniques such as transmitted light - brightfield, darkfield, phase contrast, DIC, epifluorescence, FRAP and FRET. The controller enables high pixel density imaging capabilities (5120 x 5120 pixels). Eight independent data channels allow simultaneous acquisition of multiple sample properties.The BioScope II offers a Z range greater than 15µm and an X-Y range that exceeds 150µm.
