Career Day For Girls

On Saturday, February 25th, the NUANCE Center took part in the 46th annual Career Day for Girls. This program, organized by the McCormick School of Engineering and Northwestern’s Society of Women Engineers, offers female students in 6th-12th grade an opportunity to learn more about the different fields of engineering. Undergraduate students led over 300 participants around the university, visiting various labs across campus.

At NUANCE’s EPIC facility, graduate students from the Dravid Group and Lauhon Group offered the young visitors demonstrations on instruments such as an SEM, TEM, and an optical microscope.
