Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work day
On April 25, NUANCE participated in the 20th annual event.
Electron Microscopy and Imaging Specialist, Eric Miller, introduces some of the concepts behind SEM and TEM practices. He led a tour through NUANCE's EPIC facility.
Mr. Miller talked about the applications of SEM and TEM in various fields, including medical research and materials science.
EPIC facility manager, Ben Myers, answered questions from the students.
Mr. Miller talks with the students about a poster image on the wall in the EPIC facility. After returning from lunch one afternoon, he found a traveling companion stuck to his shirt. He subsequently prepared the tick for imaging and now has a beautifully colored portrait of the insect to remind him of their time together.
